Michael Young is a seasoned artist and educator with over three decades of experience in traditional and digital art. His journey began at ITT Technical Institute, where he pursued studies in Electronics and Robotics. Eager to delve into the world of digital animation and visual effects, Michael further honed his skills at The DAVE School in Orlando, Florida, where he earned a Certificate of Completion in Digital Animation & Visual Effects.

Throughout his career, Michael has demonstrated proficiency in a wide range of software, including Zbrush, Maya, Blender, Modo, and many others. His artistic talent flourished during his tenure at Quiet Flight and New World Art, where he worked as an artist before founding his own studio, Subculturez Studios, in Orange City, Florida.
Michael's expertise extends beyond traditional artistry into the realm of motion capture, where he has contributed to projects such as Lord of the Rings Online MMO and various game commercials. He has also served as a modeling and texture artist for Daz Studio Studios/Discombobulated and as a CG supervisor for Two Door FX, Bear Byte Graphics, and Two Streets Entertainment.

An ardent advocate for education, Michael has dedicated a significant portion of his career to teaching and mentoring aspiring artists. He has held positions as a teaching assistant, associate instructor, modeling, and Gaming instructor at The DAVE School, where he also developed tools and plug-ins for classroom use.
In recent years, Michael has embraced the realm of virtual reality. he has spearheaded the development of military simulation and training programs, as well as virtual experiences for physical therapy, utilizing custom controller interfaces to enhance user immersion.
